Janelle

Janell Recendez – Owner/Seamstress

La Muerte is independently owned and operated home-based and home grown business. Founded in Denver, Colorado in 2005 by Janell Recendez. Janell started out at a very young age helping her mother with her craft business. As she got older, inspired by her mother she began crafting items with her own touch. At the time it was very hard to find household items that would fit with her taste. She began designing items for her home and gifts for friends. With overwhelming made to order requests La Muerte was born.

La Muerte started out setting up a vendor booth at the Roller Derby then moved into car shows. A company website and an Ebay store was set-up for further exposure. With her Tattoo and Day of the Dead inspired, La Muerte has now expanded to designing Children's Clothing, Jewelry & Burlesque. With new items being designed daily, you will always see new items on the website and in the store. Janell continues to expand her company and will be coming to a car show near you.

Eileen

Eileen Hall – Steamstress/Print Graphics

Growing up in the 80s in California, Eileen wanted it all. Particularly anything that came from Benetton, The Gap, and Espirit. However, her mother reminded her those things require money. Lots of money. So mom found someone to teach Eileen how to sew. While she wasn't stylin' like her rich classmates, she did figure out her own style. These days, Eileen believes plus-sized girls should be able to look fashionable and unapologetic.
